Holiday Greetings . . . the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry will be distributing toys to children in our service area again this year. This Holiday Shoppe event will be different from last year as this year only children between 3-15 years old will be receiving gifts donated by the Humanitarian Service Project. However, the pantry thought it would be nice for adults to have a special gift to take home from the Holiday Shoppe event. As such, they are asking for donations of New Towel Sets (bath towel, hand towel, and washcloth) that will be distributed to each family attending the Holiday Shoppe. Who doesn’t need and enjoy new bath towels? You can purchase these as a set or separately if you wish and tie them with a festive ribbon. The goal of the pantry is to receive 300 towel sets.
Towels may be brought to St. Luke and place in the box labelled Towels located in the narthex between now and Sunday, Dec. 15. Towels sets will be delivered to the Pantry on Monday, Dec. 16. The Holiday Shoppe takes place on Thursday, Dec. 19 from 1-7 p.m. Thank you for your help in supporting our neighbors in need this Holiday Season.
