HUMANITARIAN SERVICE PROJECT (HSP) helps to provide meals and important essentials to children and seniors struggling in our community. They need our help to make Christmas merry for 1,565 children and 217 seniors who are hoping for presents under the tree this year. Their goal is to provide every child with a book, toy and a $25 gift card and every senior with two $25 gift cards.
This is how you can be a Santa’s helper: 1. Purchase a $25 GIFT CARD(S) from TARGET or WALMART. Bring it to church in an envelope with your name on it and put it in Janeen Paul’s church mailbox. You can also bring unwrapped presents and books and put in the boxes provided in the church Narthex. Most needed items are baby dolls, Barbie dolls, board games, sports equipment (footballs, basketballs and soccer balls), craft /science kits, Legos and bath sets. Cards and gifts will be delivered to HSP. 2. You can write a check made out to Humanitarian Service Project to make a donation and they will purchase the gift cards. Please note in the memo field DONATION TO PURCHASE GIFT CARDS. Put the check in an envelope and put in Janeen’s mailbox. ALL DONATIONS ARE DUE TO ST. LUKE BY SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8 In these challenging times, the kindness you put forward provides the light, the joy and the hope the children and seniors desperately need. Thank you for your generosity.
