HUMANITARIAN SERVICE PROJECT (HSP) helps to provide meals and important essentials to children and seniors struggling in our community. They need our help to make Christmas merry for 1,500 children who are hoping for presents under the tree this year. Their goal is to provide every child with a book, toy and a $25 gift card and every senior with two $25 gift cards.
There are four ways you can be a Santa’s helper. 1. Purchase a $25 GIFT CARD(S) from TARGET or WALMART. Mail it to HSP at 465 RANDY ROAD, CAROL STREAM, IL 60188 or drop it off at HSP MONDAY-FRIDAY FROM 8:00AM-5:30PM. You can also place gift cards through the mail slot in their front door after these hours. 2. Purchase the $25 gift cards and put them in Janeen Paul’s church mailbox and/or unwrapped presents and books in box provided in church Narthex. She will deliver gift cards and gifts to HSP. 3. Mail a check to HSP to provide a donation to purchase gift cards. Please note in the memo field DONATION TO PURCHASE GIFT CARDS. 4. Purchase toys for children ages 3-15 years old. Most needed items are baby dolls, Barbie dolls, board games, sports equipment (footballs, basketballs, and soccer balls), craft/science kits, Legos, and bath sets. Toys can be dropped off at HSP or put in box in Narthex. All donations are due directly to HSP in Carol Stream or to St. Luke by November 26. In these challenging times, the kindness you put forward provides the light, the joy and the hope the children and seniors desperately need. Thank you for your generosity.
