We live out our faith because we believe Jesus calls us to love and serve our neighbor as he first loved and served us, so that we share the good news we encounter in worship each Sunday.
We have drives to collect food for the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry; diapers and cleaning supplies and soup for People’s Resource Center; small, travel size toiletries for DuPage PADS to use in their outreach to the homeless community; and Christmas gifts for the Humanitarian Service Project.
We also participate in Bridge Communities Sleep Out Saturday to raise awareness about homelessness and transitional housing; walk in the CROP Walk to eliminate hunger; and march in Glen Ellyn's 4th of July Parade with the Shopping Cart Brigade to increase awareness and collect food along the parade route for the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry.
We host a number of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon groups; provide an office for Refugee One, which resettles refugees in the Chicagoland area; and provide rehearsal space for the Village Vocal Chords.
We partner with other churches for the ELCA’s annual "God’s Work, Our Hands" Sunday; support ESSE’s Adult Day Care services; volunteer at Feed My Starving Children, and provide an evening meal for DuPage PADS clients during the Summer.
Our members also volunteer their own time with local organizations across DuPage County.
